Edward Stotler was born in August, 1976.
Kevin
was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia.
Kevin
has an older brother and a younger sister, Mike & Bobbie Ann.
Erica
Michelle Valentine Kleinhans was born in October, 1977.
Erica was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and moved to Winchester, Virginia.
Erica
has one younger sister,
Jessica.
Kevin and Erica
had met several times through mutual friends,
but neither really got to know the other in that time frame.
Their contact was limited to your basic, "Hello, how are you? Good to
see you again!"
(Kevin was shy and didn't say a lot to Erica!)
In 2000, Erica
graduated from JMU and moved back to
Winchester, Virginia. Erica found a Desktop Publishing job while
Kevin was working a few streets away as a Screen-Printer.
Even then, they had some contact through their jobs,
but they just thought the other looked familiar.
Kevin asked Erica to go to see "Shrek" on
June 1st, 2001.
Erica agreed, but brought a friend along in case Kevin was a psycho (not the
case).
Because they had so much fun on their first date, they agreed to go out again
the next night.
They headed downtown on the walking mall.
The following day Erica invited Kevin to go to the DC Zoo with some of her
friends from JMU.
On the ride to the Zoo, Kevin went to play one of Erica's
favorite CDs.
She told him it wasn't in the CD case, but Kevin said he had it on tape in
his bag,
and that his friend had given him the tape. Erica recognized his friend's
name and realized where
she and Kevin had met before! Small small world! Or are they both just a little
slow?
